Mountain Guiding

Mountain guiding throughout the Scottish Highlands and European Alps.

Every year we continue to take on a small number of mountain guiding contracts in the pursuit of assured experiences. Whether you are taking your first steps in the mountains, or you are a seasoned climber or alpinist looking for a unique challenge look no further. Given an increasing workload under the banners of Assured Expertise and Assured Training, our availability is limited and our preference is for longer term projects for which we can plan in advance.

Planning does not equal a lack of flexibility, and we specialise in carefully curated programmes to achieve long term aims and aspirations. We are in an enviable position where we can offer scrambling, rock climbing, mountaineering and alpine climbing from the Scottish Highlands to Chamonix Mont Blanc in summer or winter.

This promise requires the best guides, not only in technical competence but also communication skills, local knowledge and enthusiasm. For this reason the vast majority of guiding is undertaken by James or carefully selected IFMGA Mountain Guides and Mountaineering Instructors who share our philosophy.
