Assured Experiences

Cairngorm, Ben Nevis and Glen Coe Mountain Guides specialising in #AssuredExperiences throughout the highlands and European Alps.

Alpine climbing and mountaineering in Chamonix Mont Blanc and Switzerland’s 4000m peaks. Our activities vary by season, with rock climbing and Scottish scrambling such as Skye’s Cuillin Ridge in the spring and autumn. In the summer we offer alpine climbing based from Chamonix Mont Blanc, with ice climbing and Scottish winter climbing in the winter months.

Our promise is to look after our clients in the pursuit of assured experiences, whether you are taking your first steps in the mountains, or you are a seasoned climber or alpinist ready for the next challenge. It is this promise that has defined the mountain guiding profession for generations, the declaration of which we make with confidence.

This promise requires the best guides, not only in technical competence but also communication skills, local knowledge and enthusiasm. For this reason we only employ carefully selected IFMGA Mountain Guides who share our philosophy.

We offer a range of services to achieve your long term aims and aspirations. All our assured experiences are tailored to individual needs. Not sure what to do, or what it costs? We can explain what services are right for you and tell you more about our fees. Get in touch.

Assured Training

Our assured training aims to equip independent climbers, mountaineers and alpinists with the skills to mitigate risk, and enjoy their own trips in the mountains.

We offer short alpine skills training courses for independent climbers and aspiring alpinists when stepping up a level or visiting a new mountain environment for the first time. Mentoring and coaching programmes are also available for instructors and mountain guides who wish to take advantage of assistance as they progress through their own careers and the national governing body (NGB) awards.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses are also available for current instructors and mountain guides along with our e-learning courses (currently under development).

Assured Expertise

Our services include technical advice, risk assessment, audit, site specific training, accreditation and statements of competence.

Assured expertise in the outdoor activities sector and mountain safety. Assured expertise is the banner under which we assist individual leaders, instructors, guides and providers, to be the best that they can be in their own areas of operation.

With broad experience over the outdoor activities sector, Mountain Assurance Ltd is well placed to assist with technical advice for individuals or larger scale safety management systems at organisational level.

We firmly believe that the provision of technical advice in the outdoor activities sector should be proportionate to the size and complexity of the organisation, allowing providers to concentrate on their core business.
