Scottish Scrambles

Scotland has a strong mountaineering pedigree, with Scottish scrambles and easier rock climbs being pioneered a century or more ago. These inspirational routes are all part of the wider activity of mountaineering at different levels.

Scottish scrambles are frequently used as training and practise before tackling more technical ascents in the alps. With classic traverses such as the Cuillin Ridge on the Isle of Skye being an ideal itinerary with which to develop the skills of continuous movement on the rope.

For hillwalkers content on completing (compleating is the traditional spelling) the Munros some require scrambling ability notably the Cuillin Munros on the Isle Of Skye.

Scottish scrambles also provide some truly stunning views and experiences on your way to reaching a summit. Guided ascents of Scottish Scrambles and the Cuillin Ridge traverse will vary in duration, please get in touch and find out what we can offer.
